ABOUT

We provide a holistic approach to helping people achieve personal wellness. Specifically, we honor how the developmental context of losses impact our sense of self and how we navigate through spaces on our lifelong journey. Through counselor education,  supervision, facilitation of workshops, growth groups, and hosting international retreats, we provide a framework for understanding and connection to foster growth and healing beyond loss.  We have an authentic style that helps individuals gain personal insight and learn not only about themselves but also fundamental concepts that can facilitate increased awareness to achieve personal goals. We believe everyone has an inherent unique potential. Our goal is to provide the education and guidance so you can maximize your potential and live life in bloom.

Approach:

I approach counseling from the wellness perspective.  This perspective considers people to be functioning on a continuum of health rather than looking for a deficit or illness.  I see that everyone is on a journey with an inherent drive towards growth.  I believe within a supportive relationship, we are able to make strides towards our fullest potential.  I am a collaborator and a facilitator and a partner in this journey.

I understand people from a holistic perspective.  Behavior is purpose driven and can be impacted by early experiences, family relationships, and internal conflicts between who we are and the messages we received from our world.  At the same time, I am present-focused, exploring individuals’ current thought and feeling patterns, looking for strengths to build on. The change process consists of gaining insight through self reflection,  but also action oriented by exploring new ways of thinking, doing, and being in order to create lasting change.

Approach:

I approach counseling from a wellness perspective, and believe people function on continuum of health versus having deficits or illness. I help people gain control over their emotions and relationships and believe everyone is on a healing journey towards growth.  I believe people reach their highest potential when they feel connected and find themselves able to be vulnerable in a safe space.  Together, we co-create this safe space in which I am a collaborator as well as facilitator of growth in the journey.

The primary scope of my work includes teaching people strength identification, communication, boundary setting, and conflict resolution. I help adults and couples who are challenged with the pace of life and complexity of relationships. I provide a warm and relaxed space where you can explore your true values, desires, and address what is challenging you. Together, we'll explore how to evolve into a life that is both peaceful and exciting.

I understand people from a holistic perspective and often discuss the powerful mind-body connection. I believe behavior is purpose driven and often impacted by early experiences and the ways in which we came to understand the world around us, as well as familial relationships, and internal struggles.  Additionally, I am present-focused, exploring individuals’ current thought, behavior, and feeling patterns, while maintaining a strengths-based focus. The change process is powerful, yet takes time. It consists of gaining insight through self reflection, while simultaneously action oriented and explores new ways to live your life in a healthy manner that connects and taps into the resourceful parts of your personality and values.
